RoHS Policy / Compliance
EC Directive 2002/95/EC
In
In keeping with our goal of "Total Customer Satisfaction", Intronics has upgraded
its production facility to conform to Directive 2002/95/EC on the "Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances
in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS)".
These upgrades include the installation of a new
Hollis "Lead-Free" Wave Soldering System, additional workstations for Lead-Free assembly,
and dedicated inspection stations, and have prepared Intronics for meeting this new era of reduced hazardous
substances production.
The printed circuit boards used in our products are
RoHS compliant and have been qualified using IPC-TM-650 test methods. Our preferred finishes are ENIG
(immersion gold over electro-less nickel) and Lead-Free HASL (hot air solder leveling).
We have evaluated all components and processes
used on products we manufacture and are now able to produce most products in either a "Leaded"
or "Lead-Free" configuration. Our Lead Free products are assembled using SAC 305 Solder Alloy
(96.5 % Sn, 3 % Ag and 0.5 % Cu).
All "Lead-Free RoHS Compliant"
products that are currently available are listed on this website and coded with a Green Dot. Please consult
directly with Intronics on the availability of any individual model not yet compliant or any other questions you
may have on product you are interested in.
